I have been specializing in seventeenth-century reproduction furniture for about 20 years. My work follows techniques and methods from the period, all work is done exclusively with hand-tools. Oak is the primary timber used, pine, maple and ash are also used to a lesser degree.

I run a small chair shop in Bryantville, Massachusetts where I work alone making historically accurate reproductions of antique originals. Fran Donnelly can often be found at the forge banging out hooks, fireplace cranes, hinges, or anything else you might need (except for horseshoes :-) On Saturdays, Steve Colonies and Greg Wolodkin are usually around as well.
